He promises me every day, ‘Trina, I’m not done. Not necessarily fighting for anybody in the family or anything like that, but someone’s that out there. It brought a lot of hope and it still does bring a lot of hope because it’s another person out there fighting for baby DeOrr. I still expect to see baby DeOrr as that same two and a half-year-old little boy. And I’m still not giving up that hope because I know that there’s more to come. He went public and said that his dogs hit on a spot at the campground. He is a private investigator from North Carolina who came to Leadore a month or two ago with his cadaver dogs. The 27 campsites have tent pads, picnic tables and grills. Picnic shelter and one camping spur are wheelchair accessible. The loop through recreation area is gravel. Hikers can enjoy the 2.5-mile Pocket Loop Trail, which originates at the camp area, or the 0.5-mile Pocket Nature Trail, which originates at the parking area. A large picnic shelter that will accommodate up to 80 people may be reserved. Visitors who wish to picnic have 17 picnic tables to choose from. Located back in the woods and along a spring-fed creek, this area offers camping, picnicking and hiking. Families camping here can enjoy the vibrant spring colors of mountain laurel as well as the brilliant fall color mix provided by mixed hardwoods. Most of the campsites are along the creek. Each site has a parking spur, tent pad, fire ring & picnic table. It is the former site of Civilian Conservation Corp Camp F-16.
